Rick's RV Factory

There is a new aircraft manufacturing facility just around the corner from Jellystone Air Park!  Captain Rick Maury, Fearless Leader of EAA Chapter 961 in Rock Hill, South Carolina, has moved his Vans RV-7 project out of his garage, and in to his new hangar at the Rock Hill - York County Airport.  The Jellystoners toured the facility back in March.  Nothing was damaged.  We now have a standing invitation to visit any time the doors are open---but I had to promise not to touch anything!  Who knew the engine starter would be hooked to the push to talk switch?

Five days later the wings were attached!

Pretty neat stuff!

I know for a fact the starter works!

Rick is a Luscombe guy from way back.  He soloed in a 1946 rag wing 8A at Reid-Hillview Airport in San Jose, California on June 16, 1974.
